We travel for a living, and are constantly on the road. When we are on a job we work from 60-84 hours per week, fast food and eating out are the easiest things to do. Occasionally we call a halt to all this and diet. It's usually short lived and most times only allows us to maintain a very unhealthy weight. Lately we have been looking up recipes, and trying them out. This seems to work better than just grilling some meat and adding a couple of vegetables. Sometimes it doesn't even feel like we are controlling what we eat. The 100 calorie snacks help a lot, plus I am a huge popcorn addict. When we are home we have hours and hours to eat. It's a crazy life! Right now we are home, and are trying hard every day.

Weighed down

Wow!!!  So much time has passed and many of you have done so well!  I regressed and gained losts of weight along with my partner.  We are back at work and trying hard to lose all this excess and more.  I now dress, dry my hair and sit in front of my hotel full length mirror.  It's a disgusting sight to me.  I don't know how I ever let myself get like this.  I went on a huge eating binge that lasted nearly two months!  I am bigger than I have ever been in my life.  My husband is not so bad.  I need your alls support.  I am sorry I wasn't there for you.  When you were all doing so well.  Well I am off...day 2.5 on the new plan.  Photos later.  Camera in the shop.

Good News!!

Well this is twice in one week!  I'm doing better.  I lost 3 lbs this week bringing my total to 11, and Bill has lost a total of 7.  Slow going, but leg is getting better so may be able to get back on treadmill! YEAH! Weather is very bad here today...They are talking about violent tornadoes and larger than golfball size hail?  Oh my!  Good news is...too scared to eat!  Nervous stomach.  Bill is definitely becoming more commited and I got out for the first time in four days today.  It felt good.  encouraged by the losses of the black team.  They are doing so much better!

Will Never make it to the show

I cannot no matter what I do...Keep up with this blog.  We are supposed to be writing in it daily, I do good to make weekly or biweekly entries.  Bill is struggling, and  I am doing good with food.  However with exercise, not so good.  I think I am going to have to have an MRI for my hip.  I can get around slowly, for an hour or two and then I am down...watching home improvement shows.  Any exercise at all, and I am down for two or three days, and by down...I mean I can't even walk from one room to the other.  So far Bill has lost 6 lbs since we have started and I have lost a total of 9.  I lost all the weight I gained from our trip +1.  Weigh in again tomorrow.  We always seem to be hungry.  We watch the show faithfully, I never notice them mentioning hunget during the show.  How could you be hungry when you exercise 4 hours a day?

Good grief charlie brown

We got an emergency call that my husband's daughter had gone into labor, so we ran out of the house and jumped into the car to go to virginia.  We just returned home. so that is why no blog entry lately.  There were complications and the baby was in the NICU for a while.  He is fine now and fat and happy.  He weighed nine pounds 2 ounces at birth, and had some breathing and oxygen problems.  will post photo later.  Here is the problem.  I thought I ate good while away, I gained 7 lbs!  Bill of course gained nothing.  Men! Back on the right track now.

Sorry for the furlow

Secret tellingSorry guys...A wicked intestinal virus ripped through our house this week and left me unable to even sit up.  First my husband had it , then immediately following, me.  I even missed diet cokes double point days!  Ha! 
Today is the first real day I feel well, so it's back to the treadmill.  The illness taught me something though...On day one I ate 6 crackers, a popsicle and a jello, on day two I had a whole wheat bagel and a lite grill cheese.  Day three I actually started to eat normally for the plan and found that I really wasn't that hungry.  Please don't try the intestinal virus diet you won't like it!  However the point is I discovered that you don't have to be shoving food in your mouth all day long to survive.   My husband is feeling lots better also and is happily snacking on mandarin oranges, one of his favorites!  I have lost 6 pounds.  I wish I could credit my hard work?  But I bet it was the illness.  but, it's gone none the less.
